  5. Hitesh says:

Excellent! I loved it and learned from it.

One big challenge that I face (I am sure others too) is discipline. It will also be nice to discuss exit strategy.

  6. Balaji Sridharan says:

    Interesting presentation…

As a avid value investor, I also ask the following questions:

    1. What is my edge on this trade? What do I know that the market does not?
    2. Use Charlie Munger’s principle — invert — what can go wrong in this trade?

  7. adibmoti says:

    Balaji,

I agree with your points. First point is determining a company is cheap (not just statistically). And then one should figure out why it is cheap or what the bears are saying about it? And then one should come up with points that refute the bear thesis.

Many good investors will tell you to think of the downside in an investment. if it is limited then its likely a good investment idea.

If i go back to my ARO idea in the presentation, sell side/bears were saying cotton prices and freight will affect margins. I disputed that and based it on long term history of the company. However, as Q1 from ARO shows, they were right about it…atleast for now. Now, it remains to be seen if this is a 2-3 quarter problem or a multi year issue.
